What better way to pay tribute to the arrival of spring than with the blossoming of a flower?
Now imagine 1 million of them, planted for this new edition of Floralia Brussels from April 5 to May 2, 2024. Tulips, hyacinths and daffodils: the 35-acre park at the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden is overflowing with color, fragrance and splendor.

More than a million flowers dispersed across 35 acres of land.

Celebrate the end of winter by getting ready to discover almost every variety of spring-flowering bulbs. You will find more than a million flowers lovingly planted by hand by the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden gardening team, including 400 varieties of tulips, as well as hyacinths and much more!
A historic site, a jewel of Belgian heritage

Floralia Brussels is a perfect opportunity to (re)discover the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden, a jewel in the crown of Belgium's national heritage. Built in the 17th century, it’s a treasure of the Flemish Renaissance, recognizable by its pinkish tan bricks and bluish slate roof. Walk across the five-arched bridge, explore the estate and follow the garden paths lined with flowers.

Nothing has been left to chance: the exhibition has been designed by the château team in collaboration with Holland's leading bulb growers. Their teams have traversed the Netherlands to unearth the most beautiful species and create spectacular and harmonious gardens.

THE CASTLE OF GROOT-BIJGAARDEN: A GREEN HAVEN ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF BRUSSELS

History

The castle itself was built in the 17th century, a vast edifice and a wonderful example of the Flemish Renaissance style. The first lord of Groot-Bijgaarden, Almaric de Bigard, lived here around 1110. Since then, there have been 40 different owners, including several well-known names in Belgian history. Garden architect Louis Fuchs created the 14-hectare park alongside the castle at the start of the 20th century.

From Mons, Charleroi, take the Ring west, exit 11, follow the signs to Groot-Bijgaarden.
From Ghent, Antwerp, Liège, Namur, take the Ring west, direction Bergen-Charleroi, then exit 11 and follow the signs to Groot-Bijgaarden.
From Brussels center, via the Koekelberg Basilica, follow Avenue Charles Quint and, after the Basilix Center, turn right at the second set of traffic lights, direction Groot-Bijgaarden.

By Train or Bus :

Groot-Bijgaarden Station, follow Brusselstraat to Gemeenteplein.
Brussels-Midi Station: bus 136 - Kerk stop

About the experience

What can I expect from Floralia?

The spring flower exhibition in the park and the greenhouses of the castle of Grand Bigard (Groot-Bijgaarden) offers an unforgettable flower experience. The park of 14 hectares incorporates nearly all spring bulb varieties. For the new flowering time, the gardeners of the castle have planted by hand more than one million bulbs. Special attention goes to the tulips, with almost 400 varieties, hyacinths and daffodils are also well represented.

Where is the experience located?

Floralia takes place in the Château De Grand Bigard, Isidoor Van Beverenstraat 5, Groot-Bijgaarden, 1702.

Where can I get tickets?

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

We will have a box office on site. However, tickets may be sold out by the time you arrive at the event, so we highly recommend you book your tickets in advance in order to guarantee your spot. You can purchase tickets in the Fever App or on the Fever website.

Can I transfer my tickets to another person?

Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket in the Fever App. Please contact us if you need additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No, your contactless tickets will be validated directly in the Fever App.

I can't find my ticket. What should I do?

You can view your ticket in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have the app installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. All ages are welcome to this experience and the space is accessible for prams/strollers. Children under 6 don’t need to pay for the experience.
